Tool Time

As I pulled into the garage with a napping toddler in the backseat, I had a decision to make. Do I try to stealthily move her from car to bed and risk waking her up? Hells to the no, people. I know full well the consequences of waking a sleeping kid. I got in a good half hour of drawing the stuff in the garage, sitting in that car, before I heard a little sleepy voice from the back asking for a snack.

IF: Imagination

In my daughter's imagination, all her best things co-exist in one giant, fabulous rainbow bubble: cats, hair clips, moon and stars, candy, coloured bouncy balls, cupcakes, birds and ice cream.

Cottage vacation

Just got back from a little family adventure. It was full of everything good: outdoors, ice cream, family and full contact card playing. Oh, and drawing.

Let's hear it for New York

My entry for The Sketchbook Project 2012 is finally done and on its way to Brooklyn, NY. From there, it'll be jet-setting all over the world before coming back to its final home in the Brooklyn Art Library. Want to visit it (and its friends) when it comes to a city near you? Check here for dates. I'm sure it would love to see you. Even though it's super famous now, it still remembers where it came from.

In the meantime, want a sneak peek? You can check it out here right now.
